HelpLink is a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit dedicated to removing barriers to work and meeting real-life needs—before they result in missed shifts, absenteeism, or job loss.
"HelpLink's mission is to bridge the gap between generosity and need by using the power of technology to provide assistance and resources that bring stability, hope, and support to individuals and communities."
"HelpLink envisions a world where no need goes unmet, where technology seamlessly connects generosity with those in crisis, and where communities are empowered to support one another with efficiency, transparency, and compassion."
Our model was born from Spark in the Dark, our peer-to-peer support network that has helped connect over 100,000 needs since 2017. Today, HelpLink builds on that foundation by blending technology with community to meet needs faster and more transparently. We work with companies that want to support their staff in meaningful ways and with donors who want to give with impact. Together, we’re creating a system of support that actually works—because people shouldn’t lose their jobs over solvable problems.
Through our web-based platform, individuals can discreetly request help for things like car repairs, utility shutoffs, or essential work items. From there, our system matches those needs with donations from employers, community members, and businesses. Once funded, we pay the bill or ship the item—simple, direct, and effective.
HelpLink will vet all incoming requests and repost them to the community.
Your tax-deductible donation will go towards the specific item or service being requested.
HelpLink supports local nonprofits by facilitating the needs of individuals within their communities. We also partner with local suppliers for need fulfillment. Corporate donations may be tax-deductible. If you own a company in one of our communities, we want to hear from you!
